FALSE NARRATIVE

FALSE NARRATIVE
I saw a post that said,
"When I give food to the poor, they call me a saint.
When I ask why the poor have no food, they call me a communist."

A FALSE NARRATIVE. I don't know anyone who calls another person "a communist" simply because he asks, "why the poor have no food." I suppose there are some people who might say such a foolish thing. But most of the time this twisted narrative is intended to make conservatives (especially Christians) look like insensitive, uncaring, politically motivated bigots.

Never forget, there is such a thing as a COMMUNIST.

A communist believes in taking from those who have and giving to those who have not. They reject the Bible teaching
2 Thessalonians 3:10
(10) For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

OR

The communist narrative tries to make us think that it is the State's responsibility and right to TAKE from those who work, those who have, and give to those who do not work or those who do not have. Sometimes those who do not have are not responsible for their plight, but a State bailout usually turns into a State hand-out that profits the bureaucrats and special interest groups to the greatest extent and helps the truly poor in a minuscule way. In other words, State hand-outs help the greedy more that it helps the needy. They confuse Christian compassion and giving with State confiscation. I do not say there is no room for State assistance to people in need, but it is a false narrative to equate State Welfare or Marxism with Christian charity and compassion.

The more I think about it, the more I realize that the ONLY people I have ever heard use this narrative (concern for the poor is communism) are liberals.
