I heard a person on the news say that Islam is being hijacked by people who want to go back to seventh century Islam.

At least he is honest and accurate about the origin of Islam.

What he is failing to admit is that Quranic Islam has been like this SINCE the seventh century. These talking heads (government, academic, religion and media) all parrot the same mantra, as if the leopard has changed his spots. The very nature of Islam is contrary to Christ and His way. The actual reports concerning Islam, through the years, has been the same.... VIOLENT, VICIOUS and VIAL. The sooner people understand this, the better-off they will be.

FACT ALERT
The misinformed also talk about Biblical Christianity having reformed, BUT IT NEVER HAPPENED.

Biblical Christianity has always trusted and followed Christ as the Head of the Church. The Reformation Period was not a reformation of Christianity, it was a refutation of Catholicism, and Popery, which had falsely claimed to be the true Church. Catholicism is still not the Church and the Pope is still not the head of the true Church, in any capacity. And most of reformed Christianity is actually DEFORMED and MALFORMED, and MISINFORMED.

Biblical Christianity is about being TRANSFORMED by the miraculous power of God, from creatures of darkness into children of light.

And God's plan for all born-again believers is that they be CONFORMED to the image of Jesus, through the fullness of the Holy Spirit and by the constant renewing of their minds, as they continue in the Lord (Ac.11:23), in the grace of God (Ac.13:43), and in the faith (Ac.14:22).

Romans 12:2
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Romans 8:29
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
