WOW. A New Beginning.
Life is filled with the possibilities of New Beginnings, such as birthdays, graduations, education, career changes, promotions, dismissals.
New Beginnings can center around people, jobs, problems, opportunities, geography.

Some folks are afraid of New Beginnings.
Some folks live for them.
Some folks never recognize them and other folks never realize the potential, even when they eagerly welcome them.

New Beginnings are gifts from God, but positive results depend on us following and trusting God in a new direction.

New Beginnings are not just the off-ramps from failure or disappointment, neither are they the exit-ramps from success and fulfillment.
New Beginnings are the on-ramps to new adventures, new possibilities, new responsibilities.

We should learn from the journey we have traveled and use the knowledge to make the rest of the journey better.

New Beginnings are a good time to bury the hindrances and disappointments of the past.
New Beginnings are times to cut ties with the baggage that burdens us and slows us down in our walk with God.
Sometimes these chains include relationships with negative, toxic people.
Sometimes our enslavement is self imposed, and includes personal problems, attitudes, desires, fears, world views, dreams, beliefs, and even an evil heart of unbelief.
Sometimes the failures of our past drag us down and hold us back, adding more failure to our resume, but a New Beginning can put the past behind us, and leave it there.

I understand that the following promise was to a certain people, at a certain time, concerning certain circumstances, however, the principle is valid and applicable for followers of Christ. This does not mean we will not suffer loss or persecution, but we can be assured that our walk with God will always be better than a walk without God.

Jeremiah 29:11
(11) For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
