TWO AMAZING THOUGHTS

TWO AMAZING THOUGHTS
Some people, who do not have a personal and living relationship with Christ, manifest more Christian behavior, relationships, self discipline than some people who have experienced the saving grace of God.

1- I am amazed at the common grace of God that can enable even sinful men to outwardly manifest loftier traits and characteristics, which are foreign to their naturally carnal, and lost condition, than can be seen in some of those people who have believed on Christ as their Savior.
see passages * below

2- I am amazed at the sinfulness of sin, which some Christians allow to replace the life of godliness and self denial. (in doing so, they deny the faith and fall from grace).
see passages ** below

I listed the two items in this order, not because the manifestation of common grace is more important than saving grace, but because I wanted to focus on the fact that Christians do not always continue in, or manifest saving grace, which to me is more amazing than sinners who show common grace. I hope your read the passages below.

PASSAGES
* Matthew 23:27-28

(27) Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.
(28) Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

* Luke 16:15
(15) And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

** 2 Peter 2:1-2
(1) But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
(2) And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

** Hebrews 12:15
(15) Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
