HONOR MOM AND DAD
IF GOD SAYS IT THREE TIMES.... IF GOD SAYS IT TO ALL OF HIS CHILDREN... THEN WE BETTER PAY EXTRA CLOSE ATTENTION.

God said to Moses, at the giving of the Ten Commandments in the Old Testament;
Exodus 20:12
(12) Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

Jesus said, when He recounted the Commandments which were applicable during the Gospel period;
Matthew 19:19
(19) Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Paul said, when he gave directives for Christian living in the Age of Grace;
Ephesians 6:2
(2) Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)

Honoring parents includes obedience, respect, right living.
As we learn to honor our earthly parents, so we will honor our Creator and Heavenly Father.
As we honor our parents, we will honor God's chosen ministers.
As we honor our parents, we will honor all legitimate authority.
As we honor our parents, we will communicate this great responsibility to our children.

We never outgrow our need to obey God and we never outgrow our need to honor our parents.
