HARD, NO, IMPOSSIBLE, YES. DO-ABLE? YES, BY THE GRACE OF GOD.

HARD, NO, IMPOSSIBLE, YES. DO-ABLE? YES, BY THE GRACE OF GOD.
There are those who think the Christian life is hard.

Actually, without God's miraculous work of grace, the Christian life is not hard, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE, because the Christian life is, THE LIFE OF CHRIST IN US, which is the result of a redemptive relationship with God.

But then there are Christians who think that the standard is too high, that the standard is unreachable. The fact is, God sets the standard and then He equips His children with the ability to reach that standard. God is not a cruel taskmaster, and He does not taunt or tease His children with obligatory impossibilities.

If it possible for a believer to obey God in any capacity, or please God to any degree, then it is because of the grace of God.
If the grace of God makes it possible to obey God, or makes it possible to please God, then the grace of God can make it possible for believers to obey God always and to please Him always.
In such a case, the standard is not too high, and the accomplishment is not legalism or works of the flesh.

1 John 3:3-5
(3) And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
(4) Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
(5) And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

1 John 4:17
(17) Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

1 Peter 4:1-2
(1) Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
(2) That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

How sad that sinners are not hearing that Jesus will give them eternal life.
How sad that Christians are not being told that Jesus saves from all in, and they can live victoriously over sin in this present evil world.
