A FEW THOUGHTS ON LOVE

A FEW THOUGHTS ON LOVE

WHAT LOVE DOES
It takes the miracle work of full salvation and fervent love, manifested in those who have experienced the excruciatingly painful crucifixion of their old self, to know the truth that, LOVE COVERS A MULTITUDE OF SINS, found in these Bible passages.
Proverbs 10:12
12 Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.
1 Peter 4:8
8 And above all things have fervent love among yourselves: for love shall cover the multitude of sins.

BUT HOW?
When we have fervent, perfect love, we are delivered from carnal pride, which produces
Judgmentalism.
Intolerence.
Disrespect.
Anger.
Envy.
Retaliation.
Duplicity
Racism.
Oppression and
Every form of evil.

IT IS NOT simply a personal attempt to take the moral high ground, which is the best an un-sanctified person can do.

IT IS denying self.
IT IS humbly condescending to men of low estate.
IT IS thinking more highly of others than we think of ourselves.
IT IS doing unto others as we would have others do to us.
IT IS having the mind of Christ.
IT IS Christ in us.
IT IS keeping the unity of the Spirit in the bonds of peace.
IT IS doing that which is pleasing in His sight.
IT IS walking in His steps.
IT IS submitting to authority and to one another.

ENTIRE SANCTIFICATION is the Divine work of totally cleansing a believer from the Sinful Nature (the Old Man, the Flesh, Carnality, the Evil Heart of Unbelief, the Double Mind, the Root of Bitterness), which a believer experiences when he/she surrenders unconditionally to the will of God, thus dying (to the world, the flesh, and sin), and entering into PERFECT LOVE by believing that God delivers from ALL SIN, when the Holy Spirit fills and purifies the heart.

Sadly, there are very few churches and preachers that still proclaim this glorious truth, and therefore most people who get saved are being robbed of the promised power and purity that Christ provided in His death and resurrection. Just like forgiveness of SINS at salvation, cleansing from SIN is the gift of God, received by faith.

1 Thessalonians 5:23-24
(23) And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
(24) Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

BECAUSE OF LOVE
Loving and wise parents don't simply make rules to harass or afflict their children. They make rules to help, and to protect their children. Breaking those rules results in the children suffering unseen consequences, and it also weakens the relationship between the parent and the child.

IT IS THE SAME WITH GOD. Based on His fathomless love and infinite wisdom, God makes rules, sets boundaries, and establishes guidelines to protect and benefit us. When we choose to reject His rule, and break His laws, we hurt ourselves in two ways.
* The behavior itself is going to cost us through unseen consequences.
* The disobedience to our loving Creator separates us from Him.

We have all seen, and been appalled at young people who think that their parents restrict them because of meanness, or because they think their parents are not in touch with reality, or because the child is simply rebellious. Likewise, most people disregard God's laws because they believe He is unkind, or because He does not understand us, or simply because of their own rebellion.

Since we have become victims and prisoners of our own rebelliousness, we can never restore our relationship with God. However, He loves us so much that He offers reconciliation through His Son, Jesus.

Do not delay,
Receive Christ today,
He will forgive your sins,
And lead the way.
