CHRISTIANS AND THE LAW

CHRISTIANS AND THE LAW
It is wrong to think that the law of God saves anyone, or the keeping of the law of God brings, earns or obtains salvation. But those who love God do not have a negative view of the law of God. When you hear someone attacking or demeaning the law of God, beware. The law breaker despises the law, not the followers of Christ.

God has made it clear that no one is saved by being a law keeper. In fact, He has made it clear that the unsaved man does not and cannot keep or observe the law of God.

But the law of God is held in high regard by those who love and honor God. In reference to the moral law of God, the commandments of God, consider these few passages...
The law is holy, just and good (Ro. 7:12, 16).
The law is spiritual (Ro. 7:14).
The law of God is truth (Ps. 119:142).
The law of God is light (Pr. 6:23).
The law of the Lord is perfect, evangelizing the lost (Ps. 19:7).
Christ did not come to destroy the law, but to fulfill it (Mt. 5:17).
Faith establishes the law (Ro. 3:31).
The law of God is fulfilled through love (Ro. 13:8, 10; Ga. 5:14).
Believers love the law of God (Ps. 119:97, 113, 127, 163).
Believers delight in the law of God (Ps. 1:2; 119:70, 77, 174).
Believers keep the law of God (Jo. 22:5; Ps. 119:34, 44-45, 55, 60, 115; Jn. 14:21; 1 Jn. 2:3-4; 3:22, 24; 5:3).
