TEAMING originated with God. The very nature of the One God is Three Persons working together in UNITY, in CONCERT, in HARMONY.

Supply
God communicated (transmitted) this Divine relationship (teaming) to the human family (as well as to His Church).
God's DESIGN of husband and wife, God's PLAN for husband and wife, God's MANIFESTATION through husband and wife, IS TEAMSMANSHIP.

Success
God planned for the entire family to be a team, with each part being a part, rather than falling apart. Family teaming leads to family and personal success.

Sin or Salvation
Sin separates family (team) members from one another and from God. Salvation teams people with God and with family, whenever individuals deny SELF and follow Jesus fully.

Teamsmanship and Leadership

Teamsmanship does not preclude Leadership. In fact, in the human equation there is no successful family teaming aside from leadership. God is by nature the Supreme leader of the family. God has appointed the husband (father) to be the human leader of the family. God has appointed the wife as the submissive co-leader of the family. God requires the children to render honor to father and mother.

Models
Teams are found in various models of life, such as; sports, business, performing arts, military operations. Though the model of a "sports team" is not strictly taken from Biblical revelation, it is consistent with Biblical principles. In this analogy we can see the application to the family team. An Owner,
A Contract, Rule Book, and Play Book,
A Coach (coaching staff),
A Captain,
A Co-Captain.
Members (players)
Referees.

Application
The Owner of the Christian family team is God.
The Contract, Rule Book, and Play Book for the Christian family team is the Bible.
The Coach (Coaching Staff) for the Christian family team is God.
The Captain of the Christian family team is the husband (father).
The Co-Captain of the Christian family team is the wife (mother).
The Members (players) of the Christian family team are the parents and the children.
The Referee of the Christian family team is the Holy Spirit.

Opponents
The Christian family team faces three powerful opponents:
The World (present evil age),
The Flesh (sinful nature), and
The Devil.

Champions
But we are not intimidated by our opponents.
We can overcome the world: (Ja. 1:27; 1 Jn. 4:4; 1 Jn. 5:4-5).
We can overcome the flesh: (Ro.8:1, 4-5, 9, 12-13; 13:14; 2 Co. 7:1; 10:3; Ga. 5:16, 24).
We can overcome the Devil: (Ep. 4:27; 6:11; 2 Tm. 2:26; Ja. 4:7; 1 Pe. 5:8-11; 1 Jn. 3:8).

Any and all Christian families that exercise Christian teamwork will defeat their opponents and win the victory and the crown (Ro. 8:37; 1 Co. 9:24-25; 2 Tm. 4:7-8; Ja. 1:12).

Be Your Best
God has placed you in a family (on a team), therefore give it your best effort and play to win.
God has called you to be part of His family, His team, therefore believe, follow and deny yourself in order to be a winner.
Luke 9:23-24
(23) And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
(24) For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
