BE A PART OF A TEAM, NOT APART FROM A TEAM
What Is A Team
When we hear the word "team" or "teamwork" we usually think about sports. However "teaming" is important in various areas of life, such as, work, war, family, marriage. Simply having numbers of people in an organized group does not produce "team," in the truest sense. The word "team," originally related to family, offspring, brood. God created the family to be a team, to work together. God's plan was for husband and wife to be one, together. The team was expanded to include children. God planned the family team for success.
Team Comes From God
We should not be surprised at God's plan, since God Himself is a team of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The very nature of God is Three in One. God is One, but He is God in Three Persons. It is not that God simply reveals Himself as a Triunity, He is a Triunity. This One God works together as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Trinity is not a human invention, it is a Divine reality, revealed in the Holy Bible.
Family As A Team
Today there are few real marital teams, even fewer family teams. Teaming was built into marriage and family, which produces success and victory . But that mystical union was lost because of sin. True teaming is restored to a family that is committed to Christ. However, the greatest expression of, and the greatest attainment of teaming requires each person on the team to dedicate himself to personal excellence, selfless unity with others, and faithful submission to Christ, the Team Leader.
Israel And The Church
God continued to reveal His plan for, "teaming for success" through Israel, as a God centered nation. Sadly, man failed in this plan also. God has not only persisted in His plan for family teaming, He has expanded the concept to the family of God, the Body of Christ, the Church.
Christ As Head Of The Team
But always remember, a successful team requires faithful followship to capable leadership. Christ is the Head of the family and He is the Head of the Church. You can contribute to Biblical teamwork in your home and in your church.
Be A Part, Do Not Be Apart.

In yesterday's article I pointed out the Divine origin, purpose, and importance of husband/wife teaming, family teaming, and church teaming. I did not address the specific facets and advantages of teaming. I also did not address the causes and failures of not being part of God's design for victory through teaming.
I may address these ideas in the future, but in the mean time, it would be to your advantage to consider these thoughts in connection with your own relationships, marriage, family and church. In fact, it might be good to discuss this with other team members.
