WHAT YOU SEE IS NOT ALWAYS WHAT YOU GET
At least when you read my articles, my doctrinal statement, my ministry sites, you know what I believe. No hidden agenda. No, "come into my parlor" scenario.
I find it interesting that any church would not be open about their true beliefs, and I find it disturbing that believers would align themselves with purveyors of false doctrine.
Actions have consequences. Choose wisely. A little leaven leavens the whole lump.
By the way, whether my doctrines are Biblical or not, my view concerning openness and honesty is Biblical. I would suggest, if a person or a ministry is not open about what they believe, then maybe what they believe is not Biblical.
THINK ABOUT IT THIS WAY...
Since God directed Christians to contend for the faith, which was once, for all, delivered to the saints, then why would He want you to align with those who oppose the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints?
Jude 1:3
(3) Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
Paul would not even submit to them for an hour, much less come under their authority or tutelage.
Galatians 2:4-5
(4) And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:
(5) To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.
If Christians settle for less than Biblical fare, they will end up with nothing but un-Biblical fare. Just because the word of the Lord is rare does not mean that a Christian has to start ingesting poison.
BUT THEY HAVE...
But they have such a nice sanctuary.
But they have such a great music program.
But they have an awesome children and youth program.
But they have such good preachers and teachers.
But they have such a great missions outreach.
But they do so much good in the community.
But the leading Christians of the area go to this church.
But they have such nice people.
But they have such powerful evangelistic program.
Yes, but none of that is important, in fact, all of that together, is worthless if they are teaching a lie in place of the truth.
