PREPARING FOR (more) NATIONAL CHANGE

PREPARING FOR (more) NATIONAL CHANGE
(see Scripture passage at the end of this post).

It is no accident that the USA has moved away from the founding principles that made the USA the greatest country in the history of the world, since our country has moved away from the authority, morality and God of the Bible. This is not to say that everyone in the USA was a follower of Christ or that the USA did not have flaws, but the USA was a nation that honored and protected the Christian faith and the principles of personal responsibility and interpersonal accountability. We moved away from Biblical Christianity as a nation and we elected Obama... TWICE, proving that our moral, governmental, educational gyro was broken.

Obama is not a believer in Christ, or the historical Christian world view, or the American principles, which were based on Biblical principles and revelation. In Obama, the USA got what it wanted, got what it had been asking for (and will probably continue to want in the future), that which will destroy the USA, because the USA is not turning back to Christ and the Bible.

Yes, I would like to see the USA turn to Christ. But I cannot make it happen, because God Himself will not MAKE it happen. We can ask God to deal with the USA and call the USA, but the response to God will always be up to the people themselves. Yes, I will also share Christ with others, but it will be up to them to accept or reject.

By the way, the first people who should be taking steps to align with God are those who already profess faith in Christ. Remember, in the book of Revelation the believers (the churches) were called to repent and follow Christ fully. (see the Scripture passage at end of this post).

SO...
Choose to personally trust and follow Christ fully.
Find and become a part of a Biblical church.
Share Christ with other people and invite them to follow and trust Jesus.
Brace for more opposition and persecution (both foreign and domestic).

1 Peter 4:12-19
(12) Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
(13) But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
(14) If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
(15) But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.
(16) Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
(17) For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
(18) And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
(19) Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

CONSIDER THIS
This Scripture passage is full of great truth. But let me point out something in verses 17-19 that is often attacked by sinning religion.

THERE IS A DIFFERENCE
Biblical Christians are part of the HOUSEHOLD (family) of God (vs. 17).
Biblical Christians are those who OBEY THE GOSPEL (vs. 17).
Biblical Christians are referred to as "THE RIGHTEOUS" (vs. 18).

Non-Christians are not part of the Household (family) of God (vs. 17 with vs.18).
Non-Christians do not obey the gospel (vs. 17).
Non-Christians are referred to as "THE UNGODLY" and "THE SINNER."

The actual Christian must choose to "commit" the keeping of his soul (his life, his whole being) to God. Notice, Jesus Himself committed (same word) His spirit to the Father while He was on the cross.
Committing the keeping of one's soul (life, whole being) to God is coupled with, and demonstrated through "well doing," which is a life that practices the good, the righteous (vs 19).
