THE DELUSION OF SIN

THE DELUSION OF SIN
Sin only looks good to the person under its spell.

EVE
Eve had everything that the good life could provide, but when she listened to Satan she began to want that which was detrimental, and she was willing to give up everything good, in order to get it.

ADDICTS
We see the same thing when we see a drug addict ruin his life, his health, his relationships for one more hit. It is not that the hit satisfies. It is not that the hit is better than life. But the addict has been deceived into the clutches of the drug and cannot break loose. The addict, settles for the pleasures of sin for a season, not realizing that when the season, the moment of pleasure is over, there is eternity to pay.

THE SAME IS TRUE FOR EVERYONE HOOKED ON SIN. Salvation is better. It has no hangovers. It does not rob you. It does not destroy you. It does not lead you into eternal suffering. Don't settle for self destruction when God offers you joy unspeakable, love abounding, peace that passes understanding and meaningful life, without end.

CHRISTIANS
Even Christians can be deceived into a life of sin, to the point of following a false Christ, a false gospel, a false spirit.

2 Corinthians 11:3-4
(3) But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
(4) For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
