JESUS LIFTED UP

JESUS LIFTED UP
(be sure to read the passages at the end of this post)

I was sharing with someone the Biblical account of the Brazen Serpent of Numbers 21:4-9, which is a foreshadowing of the Person and Ministry of Jesus Christ as it is said, in John 3:14-16. This person had never heard of this Bible imagery or message, yet the person is a church attender and is interested in Biblical truths. I don't doubt this. But what I do find disturbing is that a person can be "churched" and not be familiar with the "serpent lifted up in the wilderness" and the Christian meaning to that ancient event. America has been robbed by men who wear robes (those behind the pulpit of truth, and those in the seat of justice).

Those who realize you have been bitten by the Edenic Serpent, and poisoned by sin's venom, are going to die and be separated from God and all that is good for all eternity, UNLESS, you see Jesus, lifted up as the One Who has died so that you may live. It does not make sense, but looking to Jesus, trusting Jesus will save you from the Serpent's power. Through faith God will replace your death with His life, He will exchange your dark and damnable destiny with His Life of Love and Light.

All you need to do is LOOK AND LIVE.
Don't look to the false hopes of this world.
Don't focus on your lost and deplorable condition.
Don't look away from Jesus.

LOOK AND LIVE.
Look in Hope.
Look in Faith.
Look in Surrender.
Look in Obedience.

Numbers 21:4-9
(4) And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way.
(5) And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.
(6) And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
(7) Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.
(8) And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.
(9) And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.

John 3:14-16
(14) And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
(15) That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
(16) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
