If folks don't know what the Bible says, or they don't know what it means by what it says, then they will be misled by false prophets and become the enemies of the cross. Keep this is mind as you drive down the street and see all of the brick piles (steeple houses) that dare call themselves "church," but have abandoned the Bible and denounced the Lordship of Christ. The Bible refers to this lack of enlightenment as, "the word of the Lord being rare" and labels those Christ-less, lukewarm organizations with the title of "Ichabod" (the glory of the Lord has departed). When people do not understand the written word, they do not trust the Living Word. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. We are children of God by faith. We are saved by faith. We walk by faith. We live by faith. We contend for the faith.
