The Lone Ranger and Tonto were riding across the plains, when The Lone Ranger noticed that a large Indian war party was attacking them from the east, while others were attacking from the west. When he looked north and south he saw that other war parties were closing in on them.
Ranger turned to Tonto and said, "Tonto, we are doomed."
Tonto replied to Ranger, "What mean, 'WE,' white man."
IT HAPPENS
The feeling or the fact of being abandoned, deserted by the people we have counted on as partners, comes to us, either in our family life, social life, ministry life or business life. We must not be overwhelmed by the sudden sense or reality of alone-ness. We must not despair. Even when others fail us we are still responsible before God, and more important still is the fact that God never leaves us.
