IT WILL BE A PERSONAL CHOICE

IT WILL BE A PERSONAL CHOICE
I have read, discussed and studied the subject of the Divine inspiration and authority of the Bible. There are vast amounts of information that claim to both support and reject the inspiration, inerrancy and infallibility of the Holy Bible.

I somewhat understand the problem of defining these words, and the problems of translation, and some other related issues. I cannot answer all of those questions. I cannot suggest a book that does answer all of those questions, though there are great scholarly documents that address these issues.

Yet, I completely believe the Holy Bible to be the inspired, infallible and inerrant word of God. I want my children, and grandchildren and my future great grandchildren to believe it. However, I will not be able to argue or prove my point to anyone, because I won't be here to prove anything to anyone.

However, though the veracity and accuracy of the Holy Bible can be supported with scholarly study and expert instruction, it always comes back to the issue of faith. This is why I trust the Bible.
Though there are supposed errors and contradictions, which either can or cannot be answered to a person's satisfaction, I still trust the Bible.
I trust the Bible because I have met the God who gave us the Bible.
I trust the Bible because I trust the God who gave us the Bible.
I trust the Bible because I trust Christ, Who also trusted the Bible.
I trust the Bible because it has proven itself trustworthy when it has been charged with supposed errors.
I trust the Bible because it has not proven itself untrustworthy (in any area that it addresses).
I trust the Bible because it has never failed me in my search for truth and for God.
Even when I have not understood what it was saying or understood how it could be true, in light of other information, I trusted the Bible and have been vindicated every time.
I trust the Bible because God, in His grace and mercy, has given me the opportunity to trust the Bible.

A living faith in the living word comes about because of a living relationship with the living God Who has given us the Bible.
