DON'T BE ABSURD

DON'T BE ABSURD
Rebellion against (resistance to, rejection of) Divine authority does not destroy Divine Sovereignty, it simply disputes it. God is bigger than, greater than all those who stand against Him.

If "Sovereignty" means it is not possible to rebel against (resist, reject) Divine authority, it would also mean that God is the Author of sin, all sin, which is an absurdity, because it contradicts the holiness, justice, veracity of God, and the message of the Bible.

NOT A DIVINE ABSURDITY
If the existence of any will, other than the will of God, negates the possibility of Divine Sovereignty, then God is unable to create man (or angels) with a free will, and He is unable to enable fallen men to exercise free will. If God is unable to either create man (or angels) with a free will, and He is unable to enable fallen men to exercise free will, then God is not Omnipotent or Sovereign, and God is also the Creator/Author of sin.

This question is not a "Divine Absurdity" (as seen in the question, "Can God make a rock so heavy that He cannot lift it," since the "rock" question is based on the flawed principle that God would do something contrary to His nature, and such a question has nothing to do with Divine revelation). However, Divine Sovereignty, Human Free Will are subjects that are part of the Divine revelation and they are not opposed or contradictory to one another or the nature of God (except when sovereignty is defined by Calvinists).

SOVEREIGNTY ALLOWS FREEDOM

God not only made man (Adam) with the ability to freely decide if he would or would not obey God in the Garden, God also enables fallen men to make free will choices to either accept or reject His offer of salvation (thus making man truly and judicially answerable for his choices). God, in His Sovereign power, empowers men to choose whom they will serve.

God is the Fountainhead and sole Proprietor of all truth, power, wisdom, knowledge, love, understanding and free will. Therefore God can impart or withhold these attributes by He own choice. It is erroneous to assert that God has not given the power of free will to mankind. Human free will does not extend to every area of life, but it does pertain to the issue of choosing our Savior.
