TRUE CONTENTMENT

TRUE CONTENTMENT

As I was trying to convey the idea of the "riches of His (God's) glory," I asked the children if they knew any rich people. Two of them mentioned sports personalities and one mentioned his mom and dad. He was trying to recall how much money they have when I interrupted him. I agreed, and pointed out that he usually got what he wanted, and did not live in need of anything.

Now, his mom and dad are not financially rich, but how great is it to have a child think you are, because they are happy with the life they live. Contentment really is worth more than money.

Scripture...
Philippians 4:11
(11) Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

1 Timothy 6:6-9
(6) But godliness with contentment is great gain.
(7) For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
(8) And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
(9) But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

Hebrews 13:5
(5) Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
