HE GAVE, WE RECEIVED, WE SHOULD GIVE

HE GAVE, WE RECEIVED, WE SHOULD GIVE
It is exceedingly sad when loving members of a family are separated from one another at this time of year.

There is even greater sadness when the loved one is separated because they are in harms way, such as the men and women who are serving their country in a hostile land.

The sadness is almost unbearable when the loved one is separated because they are the victim of a tragedy.

And saddest of all are those whom God has loved, and for whom Christ died, but they remain separated from Him, not only this Christmas, but for eternity, if they never hear the gospel and join the family.

We as believers have a great and awesome responsibility. It is time for the Church to be the Church. It is time for all believers to give themselves in sacrifice and service to other people. Not another day should go by without believers offering the gift of Christ and eternal life to their neighbors.

God wants everyone to gather around His Tree and receive His Gift. And, what a blessing for us to exchange gifts of love, peace, encouragement with other believers in the family of God, and to offer the gift of love, acceptance, forgiveness to those who are not yet a part of God's family.

John 3:16
(16)  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

1 John 3:16
(16)  Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

This is what Christmas is all about.
