THE ANSWERS ARE THERE
People are often asking questions, (rhetorically, since they do not really think there are answers). One question I recently heard, which I often hear, related to the problem of the hatred and warring that exists in the Mideast. Westerners have a hard time relating to such a blood feud that stretches across centuries and reaches around the world, plus the fact that most westerners do not understand or make the Biblical connection between the Arab world (and thus the Islamic world) and Abraham. This is because they do not know about and understand the family antagonism between the Issac linage, and the linage of the other sons of Abraham; Ishmael (son of Hagar); Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak and Shuah (the sons of Keturah).

Also, being raised in a society that was founded on Christian principles and gave freedom of religion to Bible believing Christians (as if there is any such thing as a Christian who does not believe the Bible), most Americans think that there should be a spirit of brotherhood in the world and do not think of religion as a reason to hate one's neighbors.

But, the answer to this problem is in the Bible.

God made monumental promises to Abraham and his son Isaac (the son of promise) and to his son, Jacob (the father of the nation of Israel). However, since Abraham's firstborn son was Ishmael (the son of a concubine and the fruit of disbelief) and since Abraham's other sons to Keturah (born after the death of Sarah) are the physical seed of Abraham, they (along with their descendants) believe they are the rightful heirs of God's promise to Abraham. From the time of Ishmael and Hagar there has been hatred for Isaac and Jacob and the sons of Israel (eventually referred to as "the Jews").

Though the religion of the Arab world (Islam) has spread to other nations and peoples, at the edge of the sword (with close to 1.5 billion followers, compared to less than 16 million Jews in the world and only 6.3 million Jews in Israel) and though the Arab and Islamic wealth and land mass far exceeds the material holdings of the miniature State of Israel, the Muslim world wants the nation of Israel destroyed and the Jews to be wiped from the face of the earth. Just as Cain killed his brother Abel because of jealousy and hatred, so the other sons of Abraham want the death of Israel.
