OPPRESSION LEADS TO HOPELESSNESS
CONVICTION LEADS TO HOLINESS

If you are a saved, born again, Christ following believer, and you feel guilty because you think you have sin in your life, but you don't have a specific thing that you have been thinking, saying or doing, which defies the will of God, then you are probably being oppressed by Satan.
Satan is the accuser of the brethren.
Satan wants to chide and confuse the children of God.
Satan wants to destroy faith in believers because he hates God and His people.

However, if you actually have sin in your life,
God will Confront you with your sin,
He will Convict you of your specific sin,
He will Convert and Cleanse you from your sin.
This is what is meant when the Bible says He Chastises (or Chastens) His children.
God Chastises so that He can Correct us and Conform us to the image of His dear Son.
God wants to deliver people from sin and build faith in believers because He loves His children.
