BEWARE FALSE PROPHETS AND FALSE CHRISTS.

BEWARE FALSE PROPHETS AND FALSE CHRISTS.
All of the excitement concerning the Pope coming to America reminded me of these verses.

* Jesus is the only Head of the Church; not any man on the earth, including the Pope.
Matthew 24:4-5
(4) And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
(5) For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

* There is only ONE Holy Father, and it is not the man in Rome.
John 17:11
(11) And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

* No man is worthy to be exalted to the level of Father, whether Pope or priest, and no man should lift himself up to be honored. True ministers of Christ are servants, not self promoting celebrities.
Matthew 23:9-12
(9) And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
(10) Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.
(11) But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
(12) And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

* Romanism says that each time the Sacrifice of the Mass is celebrated, it is the shedding of the actual blood of Christ, the dying of the actual body of Christ and the actual Deity of Christ in the bread and in the cup. They do not believe the elements are symbolic, but actual. They believe the priest has the power to turn bread and cup into the actual body, blood and Deity of Christ. In fact, the Roman religion killed countless Protestants because they would not celebrate such an idolatrous feast.
Romans 6:9-10
(9) Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
(10) For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

Hebrews 9:25-28
(25) Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;
(26) For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
(27) And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
(28) So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

1 Peter 3:18
(18) For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

* The Bible teaches that it is a doctrine of demons to forbid minsters of the gospel to marry, which is what the Pope and the Roman religion imposes on their priests. The Bible says that such doctrine is related to departing from the faith.
1 Timothy 4:1-3
(1) Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
(2) Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
(3) Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

Any man who subscribes to, promotes and appropriates the honors, dignity, authority, power, worship, titles of God to himself is not a good man, much less a godly minister of the gospel.

The false papa is lauded and applauded by people who deny the authority of the Bible and reject the Lordship of Christ over their lives.
