SHORT FOLLOW UP ON "CULTIST AT THE DOOR."

SHORT FOLLOW UP ON "CULTIST AT THE DOOR."
(see Luke 24:34-40; 24:46-48 and John 20:19-30 below)

Quick Recap
Two JWs (the vocal one was Marlena) visited me recently (see my July 29 post on FB).
I addressed the fact of the physical resurrection of Jesus.
Marlena said she and the JWs believe in the physical resurrection of Christ.
I told her I was glad she did, but the JWs do not and they had not told her the truth about their beliefs.
I told Marlena to ask her leaders about their view of the resurrection of Christ (and invited her back to tell me what she learned).
Marlena said JWs have no leaders. (Yea, right.)
Marlena was amazed that someone would deny the physical resurrection of Jesus.
Marlena asked what other kind of resurrection there could be.
I explained that the JWs believe Jesus had another body, not His resurrected body; that the JWs teach it was a specially manifested body.
Marlena did not beleive me.

Quick Update
Marlena and Dawn visited Lydia's house today.
Lydia said something about the resurrection.
Marlena said she had talked to Lydia's neighbor (me, ta daa).
Lydia told them that the neighbor is her dad.
Lydia asked if Marlena had asked her leader about the physical resurrection.
Marlena said no, and she did not have to ask anyone.
Lydia was told that they have no leaders.
Eventually they admitted to a shepherd.
(dlg muses... A shepherd who does not lead... sounds about right).
Dawn took lead in responding to Lydia.
Dawn said that Jesus had a special body. Dawn said that they do not believe in the physical resurrection of Jesus.

Think About This...
Obviously Marlena did talk to someone about running into me (though she lied and said she had not).
Marlena had told me that JWs do not have leaders (another lie), but then they told Lydia that they have shepherds.
Their Kingdom Hall sent another JW (Dawn), who knows more about JW beliefs than Marlena.
Marlena stood there and listened to Dawn deny the physical resurrection of Christ (though Marlena thought the JWs believed in the physical resurrection of Christ).
Marlena stood there and listened to Dawn explain that Jesus had a "special" body after His crucifixion (which I had already told to Marlena, but she denied it).

We can pray that God will deal with Marlena, after being exposed to the truth, which is able to set her free.

PASSAGES...
(Jesus real and physical body raised from the dead. I highlight with ALL CAPS and BOLD FACE.)

Luke 24:34-40
(34) Saying, The Lord is RISEN indeed, and hath APPEARED to Simon.
(35) And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread.
(36) And as they thus spake, JESUS HIMSELF STOOD in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
(37) But they were terrified and affrighted, and SUPPOSED THAT THEY HAD SEEN A SPIRIT.
(38) And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
(39) Behold MY HANDS AND MY FEET, THAT IT IS i MYSELF: HANDLE ME, AND SEE; FOR A SPIRIT HATH NOT FLESH AND BONES AS YE SEE ME HAVE.
(40) And when he had thus spoken, HE SHEWED THEM HIS HANDS AND HIS FEET.
Luke 24:46-48
(46) And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to RISE FROM THE DEAD the third day:
(47) And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
(48) And YE ARE WITNESSES OF THESE THINGS.

John 20:19-30
(19) Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came JESUS AND STOOD IN THE MIDST,, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
(20) And when he had so said, HE SHOWED UNTO THEM HIS HANDS AND HIS SIDE. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.
(21) Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
(22) And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:
(23) Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.
(24) But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.
(25) The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, EXCEPT i SHALL SEE IN HIS HANDS THE PRINT OF THE NAILS, AND PUT MY FINGER INTO THE THE PRINT OF THE NAILS, AND THRUST MY HAND INTO HIS SIDE, I WILL NOT BELIEVE.
(26) And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
(27) Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and BEHOLD MY HANDS; AND REACH HITHER THY AND, AND THRUST IT INTO MY SIDE: AND BE NOT FAITHLESS, BUT BELIEVING.
(28) And Thomas answered and said unto him, MY LORD AND MY GOD. (dlg note... Christ is GOD).
(29) Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast SEEN ME, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
(30) And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:
