Brother Gregory Moody and I were talking today, about Scripture, as we often do. In fact, one of the exceeding great highlights of my life is talking about the word of God.
* I like to talk to those who know little or nothing, because I then have the opportunity to introduce them to the eternal riches of Christ.
* I like to talk to those who have some knowledge, but are hungry for the word.
* I like to talk to those who know the word and love the word, because then we can both have camp meeting and we can have those SHOOGAH NOOGAH moments, when a flock of goose bumps go flying across us and we get lifted to heavenly places.
Brother Greg is one of those people, with whom I can feast at the table and share the good things of God. I consider him not only a friend and a brother, but a treasure.
Today as we were talking about Scripture, he mentioned, "from the womb to the tomb and the upper room." Think about it. The coming of Christ into our lives, extends,
From The Womb,
(He was conceived by the Holy Spirit; He was born of a virgin; He was born without sin and lived without sin; He was God in the flesh; He came to seek and to save that which was lost; He came to be the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world).
Through The Tomb,
(He died for our sins, according to the Scriptures; He was buried in a borrowed tomb; He rose from the dead physically, as He said He would; He conquered death).
To The Upper Room.
(Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to cleanse, fill and empower His people; The Holy Spirit anoints and appoints us to live victoriously and to set the captives free; the Holy Spirit forms the various believers into the Body of Christ).
We are His Bride and He is the Groom.
(He loves us; provides for us; protects us; enables us; leads us; and is one day coming to catch us away, to be with Him forever).
Woooo hoooo.
This post does not begin to scratch the surface of the glorious Gift and wonderful gifts that God has for us, from the womb, through the tomb, to the upper room, we are the Bride and He is the Groom.
1 Corinthians 2:9-13
(9) But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
(10) But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
(11) For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
(12) Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
(13) Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
THERE IS ALSO THIS VIEW
It can also apply to our own spiritual biography.
From The Womb,
We begin our spiritual life and journey by being Born Again. It is not just us restarting a stalled life, it is God regenerating us with a new life. Old things pass away and all things become new.

Through The Tomb,
After we have been Born Again, and begin our journey in newness of life, we realize that all of our sins were forgiven and we became new creatures, but the "old man," "the carnal mind," the "double mindedness," with which we were born, still haunts us. With New Birth came forgiveness of the sins we committed, but it did not remove the inner rebellion which we inherited. We needed New Birth to make us alive to God, but we also need to die to sin. This happens when we surrender completely to God, take up the cross and are crucified with Christ, becoming dead to the world and the world dead to us. We are to be buried with Christ. Salvation includes being Born Again and being dead to sin.

To The Upper Room.
When we are alive to God and dead to sin, we can enjoy the presence, purity, and power of the abiding Holy Spirit, and we can sit together with God and His children in heavenly places.
