SOME OF YOU ALREADY DO THIS.
This morning I saw a couple of law officers. I went up to them and told them that I appreciate their service, and then I told them to "be safe." It was not just an empty exercise; it was heart felt. They need to hear it.
Listen, I know there are "cowboys" out there in blue. I know there are bullies in law enforcement. But I also know there are well intentioned people who put their lives on the line every day for my well being. While we have a police force that still serves and protects, we should acknowledge them to their faces.
I have seen the ugly side of police oppression, but that does not allow for the promotion or acceptance of anarchy that is being promoted by the liberal left and the Obama administration.
And, for those on the left, I also reach out to those who are the targets of legal, political, racial bullying.
Matthew 5:43-48
(43) Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
(44) But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
(45) That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
(46) For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
(47) And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
(48) Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Luke 6:35
(35) But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
1 Thessalonians 5:15
(15) See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
3 John 1:11
(11) Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
Matthew 10:23-25
(23) But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.
(24) The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.
(25) It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?
