THEY DIDN'T DIE FOR THIS
Here is a song that was written by someone in my ministry in 1985. This is one of my favorite songs of all time. It was written by a very special brother in an earlier ministry. In fact, he wrote other songs that I hold in very high esteem.
This song addresses the problem of American servicemen who died to preserve the American way of life and our freedom to worship and serve Christ, and raise our children under the Lordship of Christ, not the State.

This should not be confused with America's present day ABOMINATIONS, which have stolen the valor of former days and replaced the higher standards of Americans in a real America.
This song also refers to Christians who gave their lives in the service of Christ, taking the gospel to other lands, and to the sacrifice of Jesus to save us from our sins.
The problem is, our country, our world has become so antagonistic to the principles for which these people died that it is as if it were in vain. It is at least being despised by our present society, at large. When will, or, Will, the church wake up and stand for these great Biblical truths again?

I just wish everyone could hear it. Those who rightly remember America will appreciate the song.
THEY DIDN'T DIE FOR THIS
1. They traveled many miles, to meet the enemy,
They left their wives and children, left their family.
The country that they loved sent them to other lands
To fight to bring us freedom, give hope to every man.
2. Many knew before they left, they'd not come home again,
And yet they gave life freely, for the betterment of man.
The dreams they carried with them were their lifeblood as they fought-
Raising prayers to heave, as children they'd been taught.
Refrain:
But now they've taken prayer from schools, you mustn't even talk of God
They've changed our children's morals, now the State wields the rod.
They tell our children what to think, there is no right or wrong.
They've robbed our children's dreams, the weak - crushed by the strong.
Chorus:
They didn't die for this - on that lonely, foreign shore
They didn't die for this - they had dreams for so much more.
They didn't die to take Jesus away from our kids at school,
They didn't die to build a nation where God is overruled.
3. Mothers wept for sons, who died for what was right-
The freedom of religion, to worship in God's sight.
Now mothers weep for children, who are dying everyday
Taking their own lives, without hope - of a better way.
4. All across this land we see the monuments and graves
Of men who fought so valiantly, men both strong and brave.
Was it all for nothing - the blood and teas that ran?
Will we sit back and watch, the decline of man?
Refrain:
Freedom of speech is the excuse that they use
To pour forth their filth, our morals to abuse.
Everything is right, as long as it feels good.
Sin has lost its meaning, Christ's death, misunderstood.
Chorus:
They didn't die for this - on that lonely, foreign shore
They didn't die for this - they had dreams for so much more.
They didn't die to take Jesus away from our kids at school,
They didn't die to build a nation where God is overruled.
5. Men of God who carried the truth to other lands
Though beaten, mocked and martyred, firmly took their stand.
They raised the sword of God and fought for what is right,
They paved the way in blood so that we could spread His light.
6. The Father sent His Son - to give His life for men,
To free them from their sin, to give them life again.
He died upon a cross, for us He paid the price -
The Holy Lamb of God, the perfect sacrifice.
Refrain:
But now they tell you on TV - health and wealth are in.
They excuse the wrong you do, they say you can't be free from sin.
Where is the Church of God? What has happened to the Bride?
Has she lost her will to fight? Has His power been denied?
Chorus:
He didn't die for this - on that lonely rugged tree
He didn't die for this - He came to set men free.
He didn't die so that Christians could sit back in apathy -
He didn't die to let the world go to hell, thru you and me.
DLG NOTES...
The message of the song reflects the message that I preached loud and long in the 1980's. Some people thought I was deluded. WELL, look at your world today. I was not just focused on "issues" as some said. I was focused on what the Bible said and taught and warned us about. I was focused on training men and women, boys and girls living holy lives and preparing for the time when our nation would turn sharply from the path of God.
EITHER/OR, NOT, BOTH/AND
The major portion of those who died for this country did not die for the abominations that are paraded as freedoms today. It is a travesty to tie the corruptions of today with the those who died for American and Judeo/Christian ideals, morals, religion. Either honor the dead by reinstating our American foundation of morality and rule of law, or pursue the Fundamental Change that is ruining America, but honesty does not allow the association of American heroes with present day perversions and betrayals.
