IN PURSUIT OF FUTILITY

IN PURSUIT OF FUTILITY
People will buy books and videos, go to seminars, follow gurus, change diets and habits and locations and belief systems and relationships, sacrifice families, denounce their heritage, take courses, expend time and money and energy, in order to learn from the living, and/or the dead, and/or those who claim to have died but came back to life, in search of success, fulfillment, wealth, joy, love, peace, immortality. But they will avoid, they will accost the Holy Bible, the God of the Holy Bible, Jesus Christ, Christianity and Christian witnesses.

AND YET, they will lose everything excellent by clutching to anything other than Jesus.

Matthew 16:24-26
(24) Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
(25) For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
(26) For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Matthew 7:13-14
(13) Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
(14) Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

John 14:6
(6) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
