HOLINESS, YA GOTTA HAVE IT

HOLINESS, YA GOTTA HAVE IT
* Did you know, there are some people who believe that they will go to heaven without being holy? I know. That is crazy.
* Did you know, they were taught that lie by "Christian ministers?"
* Did you know that those same teachers deny that God purifies believers, even as Christ is pure? No, really. They do.

* It is sort of like having Josh Earnest as your theologian. Talk about spin and twist.
* It is better to read what God says, and then understand it in the context of what God says, than to let a spin master or a text twister "explain" what God meant when He said it.

Psalms 24:3-4
(3) Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?
(4) He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

James 4:7-8
(7) Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
(8) Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

Hebrews 12:12-16
(12) Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;
(13) And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
(14) Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
(15) Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
(16) Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.

2 Corinthians 7:1
(1) Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

IN MY OWN WORDS
Holiness ain't just what you duz,
Holiness iz what you iz, and
You iz what you iz (as a Christian) by the power of what God duz for you, in you and through you.

IN GOD'S WORDS
Colossians 1:27-29
(27) To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
(28) Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
(29) Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

1 Corinthians 2:9
(9) But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
