This is a document I just finished. It is done on 8x11 letter size, printed in landscape, then folded in the middle, forming a one sheet, four page booklet. I call it, "The Bible Way To God."
I just wanted to have something that is simple, systematic and Scriptural to hand to friends, and folks I meet, when I am out and about. It is just a basic overview, therefore not exhaustive. However, it would be a good outline for a home or coffee time Bible Study with friends or co-workers.
I will add photos of each page, just in case someone is interested in viewing it.
THE
BIBLE WAY TO GOD
(an
abbreviated overview)
HUMAN
CONDTION
Humans
are both physical and spiritual beings. We have an inner
and outer man
(aka body and soul/spirit).
*
IN
GOD'S IMAGE
Genesis
1:27
(27)
And God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he
him; male and female created he them.
Genesis
2:7
(7)
And Jehovah God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed
into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
(Also:
Je. 31:33; 2 Co. 4:16; 1 Th. 5:23).
*
GOD CREATED AND SUSTAINS US
Acts
17:28
(28)
for in him (Jesus) we live, and move, and have our being; as certain
even of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
Colossians
1:16-17
(16)
for in him (Jesus) were all things created, in the heavens and upon
the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or
dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created
through him, and unto him;
(17)
and he (Jesus) is before all things, and in him (Jesus) all things
consist.
(Also:
He. 1:3).
HUMAN
NEED FOR DIVINE INTERVENTION
Disobedience
to God (sin) changes our relationship with Him. There will come a
time when we will die physically. Physical death is when the body is
out of a proper correspondence with the material world. Spiritual
death is when the inner man is out of proper correspondence with God.
We can be alive physically, but dead to God. If we do not come alive
to God, we will be eternally separated from God.
*
ADAM BROUGHT SIN INTO THE HUMAN FAMILY
Romans
5:12
(12)
Therefore, as through one man (Adam) sin entered into the world, and
death through sin; and so death passed unto all men, for that all
sinned:
(Also:
Ro. 5:15)
*
EVERYONE IS BORN WITH THE SINFUL NATURE
Psalms
51:5
(5)
Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity; And in sin did my mother
conceive me.
(Also:
Je. 17:9; 1 Jn. 2:24-25)
*
EVERYONE HAS CHOSEN TO SIN
Romans
3:23
(23)
for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;
1
John 1:10
(10)
If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word
is not in us.
*
SIN BRINGS DEATH TO ALL MEN
Ezekiel
18:4
(4)
Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the
soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
Romans
6:23
(23)
For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal
life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
(Also:
Ro. 5:12; Ja. 1:15)
GOD
PROVIDES SALVATION
God
provides salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ. God has done for
us, what we cannot do for ourselves, through the death and
resurrection of Christ.
*
SALVATION COMES FROM GOD
Hebrews
12:2
(2)
looking unto Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith, who for
the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising shame,
and hath sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
(Also:
Pr. 16:6 with Ps. 85:10; 2 Co. 5:19).
*
CHRIST SACRIFICED FOR ALL MEN
John
3:16
(16)
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Romans
5:8
(8)
But God commendeth his own love toward us, in that, while we were
yet sinners, Christ died for us.
1
Peter 3:18
(18)
Because Christ also suffered for sins once, the righteous for the
unrighteous, that he might bring us to God; being put to death in the
flesh, but made alive in the spirit;
(Also:
Jn. 1:29; Ro. 5:6; 1 Jn. 2:2)
*
GOD SEEKS THE LOST
Luke
19:10
(10)
For the Son of man came to seek and to save that which was lost.
*
GOD CONVINCES (REPROVES, CONVICTS) SINNERS
Acts 17:30
(30)
The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked; but now he
commandeth men that they should all everywhere repent:
(Also:
Jn. 16:8-11).
*
GOD CALLS TO SALVATION
Matthew
11:28
(28)
Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give
you rest.
(Also:
Is. 55:6-7)
SALVATION
INCLUDES
*
RECONCILIATION. Restoration to a
right relationship with God, only through the sacrificial atonement
of Christ.
2
Corinthians 5:19 (also see vss. 18,21)
(19)
...God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, not
reckoning unto them their trespasses, and having committed unto us
the word of reconciliation.
*
JUSTIFICATION. God restoring sinners to a
right relationship with God (forgiveness), and enabling them to live
righteously.
Romans
5:1
(1)
Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through
our Lord Jesus Christ;
1
John 3:7
(7)
My little children, let no man lead you astray: he that doeth
righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous:
*
REGENERATION. Since
sin renders people to be spiritually dead, then they are in need of
spiritual life. The Holy Spirit restores them to a living
relationship with God (born of God).
John
3:3
(3)
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee,
Except one be born anew, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
*
SANCTIFICATION.
Our sins have corrupted every area of our lives and we
need
a spiritual deliverance from corrupt thoughts, words, deeds and
inclinations (cleansing).
1
Thessalonians 5:23
(23)
And the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your
spirit and soul and body be preserved entire, without blame at the
coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
*
RESURRECTION. God
will raise everyone from the dead.
John
5:28-29
(28)
Marvel not at this: for the hour cometh, in which all that are in
the tombs shall hear his voice,
(29)
and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the
resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the
resurrection of judgment.
*
JUDGMENTS. At Cross or Great White Throne;
Rewards; Nations.
Hebrews
9:27
(27)
And inasmuch as it is appointed unto men once to die, and after this
cometh judgment; (also: Ac. 24:25; Ro.2:2-11; 2 Co 5:10; Re. 20).
HUMAN
RESPONSE REQUIREED
*
FAITH and CONFESSION
Romans
10:9-10
(9)
because if thou shalt confess with thy mouth Jesus as Lord, and
shalt believe in thy heart that God raised him from the dead, thou
shalt be saved:
(10)
for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the
mouth confession is made unto salvation.
1
John 1:9
(9)
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us
our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
*
REPENTANCE
Acts
3:19
(19)
Repent ye therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted
out, that so there may come seasons of refreshing from the presence
of the Lord;
*
FOLLOW
Matthew
16:24-25
(24)
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man would come after me,
let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
(25)
For whosoever would save his life shall lose it: and whosoever shall
lose his life for my sake shall find it.

AN EXPLANATION
I realize it is kinda strange, but let me tell you why I did it this way.
Remember, most of society is extremely ignorant of the Bible and spiritual truths. I try to build a body of knowledge which produces faith and salvation.
HUMAN CONDITION
* We are not advanced apes, we are fallen humanity, which started out in the image of God. We were created for greatness. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. We are not an accident, we were planned and we were loved.
* We are not simply skin, bone, fat, sinew; cells, tissue, organs and systems. We are designed for eternity and we have the capacity to relate to and serve the King of the Universe.
* We are not animals, we are not highly advanced beings, and we don't exist by fiat or by our own wits. God made us, God continues to keep us and interact with us, God has a place for us in His family and His family business.
HUMAN NEED
* Sin is the great destroyer of man as a race, and people individually. Sin ruins the entire scope of man's being, physical and spiritual. Yet God is not only able, but willing to restore that which sin destroyed.
* God did not create us to be sin infested. God knew Adam would choose to sin, and lose himself in darkness and shame, and also enslave his heirs to Satan.
* Everyone is born with a sinful nature, predisposed to sin, and everyone chooses to sin when they come to know right and wrong, and the wages, the end result of sin is death, suffering, punishment.
GOD PROVIDES
* The Son of God has provided all that is necessary for life and godliness, through His sacrificial death and physical resurrection.
* No man escaped the pollution of Adam's sin and no man is denied the solution to sin, which was provided and offered by the Last Adam.
* God does not leave it to chance or human exceptionalism to find salvation (since man is blind and dead and in need of Divine enabling), but God has sent His Son to seek and to find that which is lost, and that includes you and me.
* God specifically speaks to individuals about their own need and His personalized provision to save them.
* God calls people to become partakers of Divine nature and to escape the chains of darkness by trusting Christ alone for salvation.
SALVATION IS A MULTIFACETED GEM
* UNION WITH GOD.
* FORGIVENESS OF SINS AND THE POWER TO LIVE RIGHTEOUSLY.
* NEW BEGINNING AND NEWNESS OF LIFE.
* CLEANSING FROM SINS COMMITTED AND SIN INHERITED.
* RESURRECTION OF THE BODY AND LIFE FOREVER WITH GOD.
* DELIVERANCE FROM JUDGMENT THROUGH CHRIST AND JUDGMENT OF WORKS DONE IN THE NAME OF CHRIST.
HUMAN RESPONSE REQUIRED
* God calls us to believe on Christ, and He enables the willing person to believe and confess their sins and confess their faith in Christ.
* God calls us to turn from our darkness and He enables us to walk in the light.
* God calls us to follow Him, He enables the willing heart to follow Him and He continues to give victory, as long as the person keeps his faith in Christ.
All of the objections are answered in the word of God. As He came, looking for us, we are to go into the highways and hedges, seeking the lost.
