THE FIGHT IS ON
(You really should read these passages and this post)

2 Timothy 3:12-17
(12) Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
(13) But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
(14) But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
(15) And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
(16) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
(17) That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

What is wrong with these Bible thumpers? They think that they should obey the Bible (in other words, obey God), regardless of how old it is and how narrow it is. They are so stupid. They think the First Amendment is their right.

Don't they know that they should reject the Bible and its authority in lieu of the views of...
* Men and women who believe and/or practice sexual relations with people of the same gender, because they are more enlightened...
* Politicians who lie and regale in their lying...
* People who believe in murdering the pre-born and the new born (for fun, for money, for ease of life, for personal advantage) ...
* People who want to force Bible believers things that they are un-Biblical and immoral, which until recently was the legal, social, religious norm)...
* People who reject the Bible in favor of some other religion, including Atheism and Secular Humanism and Statism (not to mention Islam)...
* People who believe that children belong to the State, instead of being the heritage of parents (read Ps. 127:3-5)...

Rightly Dividing
I believe that God can still intervene and turn our nation around, but God has not promised to do it. Remember, 2 Ch. 7:14 is a promise to Israel, not America or any other nation of the world. The principle is a good and valid principle that may or may not be realized during this period of grace, but it is not a promise to America. In fact, according to the Bible, the ultimate and eventual collapse of America is inevitable, and it looks like it may be imminent.

God's word tells us,
IT IS BETTER TO OBEY GOD THAN MEN.
Acts 5:27-33
(27) And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them,
(28) Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us.
(29) Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
(30) The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.
(31) Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
(32) And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
(33) When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them.

It Is A Mad World, And America Is Part Of It
America has joined the nations of the world in the Bedlam of anti-Christ, anti-Bible madness. The Christian must weather the storm of evil, until the Master comes back and says, "Peace, be still." Not all terrorists wear hoods and wield knives. Some of them bake cookies and speak of love.

We Are Not Of The World

But the sure sign of being a Christian is obedience to God's word, from a pure heart.
1 Timothy 1:5
(5) Now the end of the commandment is love out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

1 Peter 1:22-25
(22) Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
(23) Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which lives and abides for ever.
(24) For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower thereof falls away:
(25) But the word of the Lord endures for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
Those who oppose this are the Enemies of the Cross.

Get Over It
This morning Geraldo Rivera launched the latest volley in the war against Christ followers. When he spoke about the people in Indiana who said they would not cater a homosexual wedding (and all Bible believing Christ followers), he said that they need to GET OVER IT.

For those who have arrived, that is, for those who have GOTTEN OVER WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS, fine, go on in your profligate and hell bent way. But I know that is not enough for Satan. He is not satisfied to lead the errant away from God, he wants to persecute the follower of God.

For those who think this is still America, GET OVER IT.
