SO GO
In the Old Testament people were commended to come to Jerusalem and the Temple. In the NewTestament we are commanded to go. So, get up and go.
WITNESS OR WITLESS, YOU DECIDE
I was talking with my brother and friend, Pastor Gregory Moody, about the need for believers to witness to others concerning Jesus Christ. Every Christian is a witness, whether good or bad. Not every Christian is a deliberate and faithful witness. Some are witnesses by default, and their witness is usually counterproductive. Some Christians are well meaning, but they are not sacrificial. It is costly to be a good witness. Being a good witness requires focus, and faith, and forsaking the good things in life for eternal results. Being a good witness requires the ongoing and transforming enabling work of the Holy Spirit in our lives and it requires us to bring every thought, every action, every word under His control. We can settle for mediocrity (failure) or we can live in the supernatural realm of "walking in the Spirit," and sowing to the Spirit, so that we might reap eternal life. Being a good witness not only requires the renewing and transforming of our spirits, it conforms us to the image of Jesus, which includes our personalities, ambitions, and our agendas.
TODAY, you can align your mind, life and relationships so that you might become the good, deliberate, faithful, productive, sacrificial, focused, eternal oriented, Spirit transformed and enabled, disciplined, obedient, working, Christlike witness that you were intended to become.
AS A TOOL
This post does not take long to read, but it really does have a lot of truth. It would be a good discussion starter for a group to use. I have led countless numbers of study and discussion groups through years. This article could spark a very productive and exhilarating discussion. If you try it, let me know, if you have questions, let me know.
