I TRUST GOD
When God calls people, they can be chosen. God does not play word games by calling people who cannot be chosen.

God's calling does not guarantee God's choosing, but God's calling does guarantee the possibility of being chosen, otherwise it is a deceptive calling.

If the choosing is unilateral and unconditional, and the called person is unable to accept the call, then the call is dishonest, deceptive.

"Many are called but few are chosen" or elect (Mt. 22:16). Therefore God says, "make your calling and election sure" (2 Pe. 1:10).

We make our "calling and election sure" by believing His great and precious promises, by choosing to become partakers of Divine nature, by escaping the corruption that is in the world through lust, and by actively building our faith relationship, and growing in grace, by doing that which God requires (2 Pe. 1:2-11).

This is not self salvation or works salvation. This is salvation from sin by the power of God.
