I posted this paragraph on my FaceBook page and then responded to a comment made by a friend.
The problem with the way America is responding to Islamic violence is not that Obama does not understand Islam and its threat; the problem is that America does not understand Obama.
After reading this post, a friend of mine mentioned that he believes the last four Presidents have lied to us about Islam being peaceful.mplicit.
Remember (and I know you do), U.S Navy and U.S. Marine Corp history are both tied to the Islamic problem. In order to deal with the pirates of the Barbary Coast (which was supported and enforced by Muslim kings) the U.S. finally ended the extortion being paid to Islamic nations by sending forces to protect American shipping. Our country started its history by paying tribute to violent Islam, but Thomas Jefferson ended that dark chapter by warning the U.S. government that we would either defeat the Islamic terrorists on the seas or we will have to fight them on our own soil.
So, what do we do 200 years later? We allow an Islamic sympathizer to occupy the White House and our congressional leaders have forgotten the history of Islam over the past 1400 years and the warnings from the world's greatest leaders (religious and political) concerning the evil of Islam.
I would guess that most Muslims (the supposed moderate ones) are actually victims who are held captive by the threat of Islamic laws, which will punish them and their families with violence and death. This does not justify the silent support that these Muslims give to Islam. They need Jesus in order to be saved from sin, but they stand (whether vocally or silently) with the very religion that seeks to destroy the army of God, the Church.
And the leaders of America are bowing before the Islamic threat today.
