THE CURRENT AND WIND

THE CURRENT AND WIND DON'T ALWAYS GO MY WAY... BUT IF I HAVE TO, I WILL ROW.
A couple of years ago (I think it was) I set a short term goal to live until I am 70 years old (which gets adjusted upward as I approach that age). Although we can't add to the years God wants us to have, we can subtract from both the quality and quantity, if we choose to live a self destructive life. I don't want to outlive my allotted time, but neither do I don't want to short change myself by giving up (hehehe). I want my life to count for Jesus.

I love my family, and I still have a lot of things I want to do with and for my grand-buddies. So, since I am now 68, it means I have started my 69th year, which means that in one more year I start my 70th year. So, I am already aiming for 73, the Lord willing. It is just too easy to give up when the currents and the wind are contrary. And sometimes it is like that. But God can change the wind, and change the currents or He can give me the strength to row against them, in order to reach my destination. Either way, Launch Out and Hold Fast.
