STOLEN VALOR
A news article addressing the problem of "Stolen Valor" was about to be aired. The blurb teaser was a man sitting in a shopping mall, dressed in U.S. Military attire. I had seen this interview before, so I knew that the uniform and the patches were not from his own experience. He was giving the impression that he had served his country in specific situations, BUT HE HAD NOT. Sometimes people claim to have military or war experience, in order to impress people or make themselves look special. This even happens with some politicians. We should all have a problem with that. Another reason is that men in uniform are sometimes given discounts at some stores. I have no problem with that.

HOWEVER, when this guy was asked why he was wearing this uniform, he said that it was because they were the only clothes he had that were clean. COME ON.

BUT, stop to think of it. A lot of people want to be thought of as Christians, because IT IS THE ONLY THING THAT IS CLEAN. People want the valor without the sacrifice, they want the benefits without the service, they want the salvation without the faith. They want the name without the relationship.
