A UNIVERSAL PRINCIPLE

A UNIVERSAL PRINCIPLE

Administering Justice
While it is true that the innocent often suffer because of and with the guilty, it is always more just when the guilty suffer for their own actions, whether it is on a personal, or a corporate or governmental level.

Universal Trait
I think most of us would agree that the people and the companies which pollute the environment, and disrupt community peace should be responsible for cleaning up the mess they make and contributing to the social well being.

Also, with choices come responsibilities, and with failure to comply with rules comes answer-ability and obligation. I think State and private organizations operate on the same basis.

This is also the way God deals with the human race. It is justice.

Application Of Principle
Though this is a brief article, the point I hope to convey is that God deals justly with men. Since those who refuse to submit to the saving grace of God actually contribute to the moral pollution, corruption and decay of society, including the criminal elements and international upheaval in the world, it is right and just for those people to clean up the mess that they have foisted on those who have chosen to surrender to God and live in obedience to God's will.

Separate Duties
* This is why God has given the sword of steel to the State and the sword of the Spirit to the Church.
* The State has been appointed by God to protect the righteous and punish the wicked.
* The Church has been called and sent by God to reconcile lost men to God through Christ.
* The State is called to be the Peacekeeper in a rebellious world, bringing lawbreakers to earthly justice.
* The Church is called to be the Peacemaker, bringing lost men to eternal salvation.
* The State is to serve society, including the Church, and should not interfere with the Church's mission of peacemaking.
* The Church is to serve God, by building up the believers and by converting the sinner, and should not interfere with the State's mission of peacekeeping.
* The State and Church are both instruments of God and they are answerable to God for fulfilling their missions.
