SALVATION IS DYNAMIC, NOT STATIC

MANY ARE CALLED, BUT FEW ARE CHOSEN
(heed the call of God)

Sovereign Election (so-called)
IF GOD Eternally, Unilaterally, and Unconditionally chose who will spend eternity with Him, then that person was never lost or in danger of hell, therefore he was never in need of salvation.

Human Condition
But we have all sinned (Ro. 3:23), and we have all deserved eternal judgment (Ro. 6:23), we were all lost (separated from God) by our sins, we were all children of disobedience, worthy of the wrath of God (Ep. 2:2-5; 5:5-8).

Sovereign Salvation (the Biblical view)
God commands that we meet conditions to be saved, including: believe on Christ, repent (turn from sin), confess sins to Christ and confess Christ to others, deny self, take up cross, and follow Jesus.

Salvation is Dynamic, Not Static
We are saved by grace, through faith (Ep. 2:8-9), a life of faith (He. 10:38).
We are not saved by an eternal, unilateral, and unconditional decree.

GOD DID WHAT ONLY HE COULD DO,
NOW HE WILL ENABLE YOU.
SADLY THERE ARE PRECIOUS FEW,
WHO TURN TO CHRIST AND FOLLOW THROUGH.

God commands us to take an active, intentional part in our salvation. We cannot save ourselves by our own abilities, but we can save ourselves by intentionally receiving, taking hold of the saving grace that God offers (Ac. 2:40).

Philippians 2:12-15
(12) Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
(13) For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
(14) Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
(15) That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

Jude 1:20-21
(20) But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
(21) Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto etern
al life.
