CONCERNING THE ATTACKS IN PARIS THIS WEEK.
(just a few random thoughts)
* Freedom is not the "right to do whatever we want to do." Instead, that is libertinism or anarchy. Freedom has boundaries. First of all, there are divine boundaries, which allows us freedom within limits. Then there is national or legal freedom, which is also limited, by cultural mores. A basic view is, "Your freedom ends where my nose begins."
* Freedom of speech is no excuse for using words or pictures or other visual and audio media to convey lies, prurient behavior, obscene media of any kind. The western world has gone nuts, thinking that anything can be said or displayed in the name of Freedom.
* On the other hand, no group has the right to use violence to stifle opposing views.
* The Muslim situation in Paris has nothing to do with freedom of speech or holy law.
* As long as we let people use double speak, we will never have an intelligent discussion about the problems that face our world. But, this world is not interested in solving the problems of evil communications. Neither is it interested in confronting a mad dog religion that kills anyone who disagrees with them.
* Have you noticed that the person who made a video, depicting the background of Islam, was blamed by the Obama Administration for causing the Benghazi murders. That person was arrested by the U.S. Government and put in jail.
Yet, Obama did not condemn Sony Pictures for its movie, The Interview, a movie that depicts the N. Korean leader in negative light ( which, according to the White House, was the reason of a North Korean computer hack job).
Also, notice that the filth rage periodical in Paris that was attacked by Muslim terrorists has not been held in scorn by Obama, though it revels in its prurient propaganda and obscenities, as well as its political and social satyr.
* My point is, if you don't gauge everything by the truth of the Bible, then you can eventually attack the Bible and its principles, in support of an evil agenda. Remember, Obama ridiculed the Bible as promoting very strict dietary laws. He did not mention that these were laws in the Old Testament and served a religious as well as a hygiene purpose.
